New HomeAid Executive

The Southern Nevada Home Builders Association and its HomeAid Southern Nevada chapter announced that Patrick Spargur has been named executive director of HomeAid Southern Nevada.

Spargur is the co-founder and president of the board of directors of Project 150, a local nonprofit group that serves homeless, displaced and disadvantaged high school students in metropolitan Las Vegas and Reno.

Also, he is a member of All Pro Dads and was a Big Brother volunteer for seven years.

In addition to nonprofit work, he has experience in the healthcare, hospitality and manufacturing industries.

He served on the Credit Management Association’s Nevada Board of Governors from 2009 to 2014. He received CMA’s “Credit Manager of the Year” in 2012; “Mentor of the Year” in 2013; and served as the chairman of the Gaming Industry Group. In 2013, he was named to the Finance, Credit and International Business Executives’ Global Board of Advisors and was the recipient of its “Service, Growth and Development Award.” In 2014, he was the recipient of the National Credit Management Association’s “Mentor of the Year” award.

“Patrick comes to HomeAid Southern Nevada with extensive experience in the nonprofit community and, in particular, working to help the homeless,” said HomeAid Southern Nevada President Trent Scarlett of Wells Cargo. “We look forward to working with Patrick and feel confident he will continue to drive our mission forward to help the homeless in our community through build projects, community partnerships and public outreach.”

2017 Silver Nugget Awards

SNHBA and its member, the Las Vegas Review-Journal, presented the annual Silver Nugget Awards to honor the best and brightest in the local homebuilding industry. The awards were presented at a gala dinner  April 1 at the Red Rock Resort. Click here for the list of winners.
